These wounds likely originated in her childhood from an absent father or guilting mother. Sometimes, she saw her mother take on masculine roles to fill in for her father. As a result, she may have unconsciously decided that being strong and competent was the only way to be loved and accepted.

When we are out of alignment with our authentic selves, we often put up walls to protect ourselves from getting hurt again. Unfortunately, these walls also prevent us from experiencing the joys of life or letting the right people in.

In addition, when we are out of alignment with our authentic selves, we often attract people and situations that are not in our best interests. This is because we are energetically sending out a message that we are open to being hurt.

Despite not wanting these negative things, our energy aligns with them so we draw more of the same into our lives.

Women who were neglected as girls, tend to grow up with significant wounds to their divine femininity.

They may overcompensate by moving into their masculine energy in an effort to feel like they’re regaining power. On the other hand, they may end up in relationships with weak men that they know they can manipulate and control in some way.

Wounded feminine energy (modernly termed as “toxic femininity”) is the negative counterpart of wounded (toxic) masculine energy.

It can cause a range of symptoms including;
